The pic is of my three youngest children, Dusty, Cooper, and Colby. I would take them for walk using the double stroller, I would put Dusty in the pouch and whenever we would get close to home (like the driveway) I would sit him in the stroller so I could get us in the house.....they just thought it was so fun. Lolli for 2
Hello everyone, I made this lo last night for the MME #8 Challenge and the ribbon challenge on Using the sketch provided by Anam Stubbington. The challenge to use red and/or pink. With these totally awesome papers from My Mind's Eye I knew right away the pics I wanted to use.. I know they are not the best pics....but it was one of those days outside working in the yard and my neighbor brought over the kids a giant bag of Halloween candy. Well the kids were like in paradise. Dusty started off with chocolates and then a sucker. We were all sitting around having a break and I looked and I saw Dusty letting Boomer share his sucker, now if that is not an act of love. I grabbed the camera and started taking pics. I then gave him a new!! I just thought how sweet of him to share with Boomer. I tried to capture the feeling here of a 1234 story telling. The paisleys were made from the Cricut Paisley cart. cut at 2, 2 1/2, and 3. Some of the paisleys came in the MME paper pack. I'm so glad I got this posted, whew!! I have been promising all week, I have had sick babies all week, and even as I type this Dusty is asleep on my lap. So I thank you so much for your patients, and appreciate all your heartfelt comments. Take Care, Dawn

Whale Watch or Not???

Good day all, I know it has been a few days but that whale watch or not??? took everything I had...and for what I had no little ones and I rode a bus and viewed sites??? We left the school house at 6:30 am on Friday and we went to the hotel dropped the luggage and headed to the Virginia Marine Science Aquarium in Va. Beach Va. where everyone enjoyed the sea life and the hands on .
We then went to the MacArthur Memorial in Norfolk Va. watched a film and toured the museum. Had a tour on the Norfolk Naval Base and had lunch. We headed back to Va. Beach to a skating rink where we all skated and had a BLAST!!! Dinner was pizza and back to the hotel, we ordered in Chinese food and watched some TV, then soon fell fast asleep.
We woke up Saturday morn. having a buffet breakfast and since the actual "WHALE WATCH" trip was canceled due to weather conditions, high winds and raining/snowy weather. We then headed back to the Va. Marine Science Museum where we watched an IMAX movie...Under the Sea in 3D.....Fabulous!! The weather conditions were getting worst.....mostly snow at this point. We headed back to the MacArthur Mall in Norfolk where we had lunch and did some shopping. Cody bought himself a really cool hat, and a vanilla bean frappe'. We got the word that the trip was being cut even shorter due to weather, so we didn't get to see Nauticus which has a wonderful exhibit at this time until April..Pirates!! So we were all a little upset that we couldn't stay to see Nauticus, but it was more important that everyone get home safe. SO we watched another movie at Nauticus and headed back.. so our whale watch never happened, but we all had a blast. Cody and I were so sleepy on Sunday...and why?? I ask?? Anyway I do have some los to show later...hopefully I will get them up soon. Stay tuned.Have a WONDERFUL Day. Dawn

Valentine You Have My Heart

Hello All!! I have been soo upset over the close of Rusty Pickle. I thank everyone of you who have visited me during my term as a RP Chef. You all have been AMAZING!!! I had done this for the February sketch from Julie, thanks again Julie for the wonderful sketch. The idea was to use any papers and to show love. Well I used some of these adorable little pics of my sweet Colby as the teacher puts it he is a model!! If she only knew!! LOL!!!!! I had taken these pics several years back but will always remain special to me. I used Rusty Pickle papers and cardstock coupons, buttons, and the frame and hearts are RP chipboard. I did some sewing and weaving of the tulle. I used a screen over the white paint and dabbed red on the frame and the hearts. The chipboard is embossed using a Cuttlebug folder. The valentine is hand sewed. Once again the homemade paper in the baby blue, I made with my little much fun!! Those wing hearts I just bought at Michaels....I had to have!! The flowers are MS. Thanks so much looking and I do so much appreciate your comments , the mean so much to me!! Have a WONDERFUL Day, Dawn

On, everything is now 50% off - prices are as marked. The warehouse is also now open to shop. Call or email to find out more of what we have. (801) 746-1045 or email
So sorry I had to bring this news, but on a happier note I thank Rusty Pickle for all the wonderful opportunities, the friendship, and what an awesome ride. Rusty Pickle will be missed!!!! You all know me I will still be making los and projects with Rusty Pickle....I just love it!!
I still have one more lo to bring ya that I had already finished for the February sketch, that I have brought every month. So stay tuned! This lo I challenged myself to use items that were recycled...yeah I know another issue I have not wanting to throw things out.......I always can find a use!!! lol!! Dh says get rid of it...but I try to keep it!! The lo was made from recyclable cardboard, bottle cap, clothespin spring, and the Prima packaging. The title was cut from the Cricut using the Gypsy welding from the Mothers Day Cart 2010, and Graphically Speaking. All the paper is Rusty Pickle, the tag, the buttons and the cardboard alphas. When I made this lo on Sunday we were snowed in which is like so unusual for us, were like hardly ever get snow. I have really been wanting to garden and this sure helped with all the snow. I LOVE LOVE LOVE to garden and could spend everyday out there...and more so when the fruits of our labor in full force. It is a WONDERFUL Happy time!! TFL!! Enjoy your day!! Dawn Oh yeah I almost forgot about the dragonfly I have a tutorial if ya wanna know how to make.
